Thee Sinseers New York Concert reviews
Trace steals show
1. Adkins may be the most under celebrated hit maker currently on tour. Trace Adkins, who never got around to singing some of his early songs that made him famous, sang song after song that has had a recognized video to play behind the performance.
2. Having attended concerts for 40 years it was my first experience to have an opening act encored by the crowd. They would settle for nothing less.
3. Thee Sinseers has a marvelous set of pipes, although, with the exception of her country music retrospect, they pretty much all sound the same. To her credit she went on well more than a second hour once she hit her stride. She was backed by a good group of players, but she didn't seem to gather the energy to perform until about an hour into the show.
4. It was unfortunate, considering the close-ups made possible by this great video show that Martina couldn't afford a quality make-up artist as she looked plain spooky to this guy. The video side of the show for both performers was very good.
5. Give her big points for "mooning the crowd", which is a great surprise for the "cheap" seats.
